Through My Kitchen Window
There is nothing quite like your grandmother's cooking. And something truly magical is created when three generations come together in one kitchen to cook age-old family recipes for the rest of the family. Through My Kitchen Window is a collection of intimate, special moments between grandmothers, mothers and daughters. It shows how the language of food knows no bounds and can exhibit maternal love most sincerely.
Wood, Stone & Salt
Through this collection, I examined how different materials and elements respond to each other in nature through 35mm film. In the setting of a quiet beach town, wood, sand and salt are free to interact and illuminate lively shadows and mellow color schemes.
July
When families come together, interesting and complex connections form. July aims to explore these connections through the lens of a child. In the setting of a peaceful, distraction-free afternoon, eight cousins come together to play, eat, laugh and cry. These simple activities can be blown up and magnified in the eyes of a child and form core memories that last through many summers to come.
Stayed for The Gelato
The goal of this collection was to capture a thought or emotion in each of the subjects as I walked my camera across the cobblestone alleyways and busy streets of Rome. Strangers are so interesting when you actually stop to look at them. How do we all interact with our surroundings, what do we enjoy, what makes us sad or surprised?
Early Friday Morning
Friday is a very special day in Israel. It is the storm before the calm, the hustle, bustle and chaos that is crammed into a few short hours before Shabbat starts. But the beautiful thing about Friday in Israel is that everyone has their own way of going about it, religious or not, Fridays are sizzling with energy. Early Friday Morning captures quick and still moments hour by hour as the country gets ready for whatever the night may bring.
